New in Range Buddy

Film Studio. Your film room, in your pocket.

The kind of video breakdown that used to take a coach, a laptop, and an evening — at the range, on your phone, minutes after the run. Record it, sync it, compare it, and mark it up frame by frame.

And it all happens on your device. Your video is processed on your phone and never uploaded.

Four Modes

One studio, four ways in.

01

Single Video

One clip of one run. The app finds the timer beep on the audio waveform, then gives you frame-by-frame review with your times and splits attached to the footage.

02

Multi-Angle

Add two or more clips of the same run from different cameras. On-device audio analysis lines every angle up to one master timeline — and a manual sync nudge rescues anything auto-sync misses.

03

Compare

Up to four independent runs side by side against a shared since-the-beep clock, with the splits delta on screen. Two shooters, or one shooter a month apart. Rename, zoom, and reframe each pane.

04

Breakdown

The coaching mode. Your rep, frame by frame — you do the analysis, the app keeps the time. Everything below lives here.

Inside Breakdown

You do the analysis. The app keeps the time.

Every tool a coach reaches for on film night — built for a phone screen and a range bench.

Telestration

Arrows, circles, boxes, freehand, and an angle tool with a live degree readout. Anchored callouts and a magnifier — every markup scoped to the exact frames it belongs on.

Draw phase tagging

Park the playhead and drop a marker on each phase — beep, reaction, garment cleared, full grip, gun out, extension, shot. The buzzer and first shot seed themselves; a walkthrough guides the rest. Out comes a card with your reaction time and every interval.

Skeleton overlay

An on-device pose wireframe drawn over your video, so you can see structure — not just motion.

Ghost overlay

Lay one rep transparently over another and watch where they diverge. Picture-in-picture cutout puts you in the corner, talking over the tape.

Slow-motion & voice notes

Slow the moments that matter and record timeline-synced voice annotations — or picture-in-picture video takes of yourself explaining the rep.

Coach's Cut export

One tap renders the full story: the clean run first, a wipe, then your complete analysis with markups, slow-mo, captions, and narration baked in. Ready to send to a student, a coach, or the group chat.
